At My Side

6 x 8″ oil paint on canvas sheet; use ‘comment’ below to inquire. Even though I wander through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil, for you are at my side. (Psalm 23, v. 4)

Windswept Faith

6 x 8″ oil paint on canvas sheet; use ‘comment’ below to inquire. When the disciples feared perishing, Jesus came to them in the night walking on water. After proving he was not a ghost, He asked, “Where is your faith?” I have painted several versions of this scene for a bit of whimsical uplift […]

Sips of Spring

8 x 6″ oil paint on canvas sheet; use ‘comment’ below to inquire. It is May 3, and it is snowing out my window. More probably, there ought to be hot cocoa in this cup.

Sweet and Petite

Plucked right from the garden, trails of greenery and ranunculus balls of petals make a gentle statement.

Prelude

White dress and red shoes captured my attention, as does any child musician.

Abe

I painted the Lady Liberty statue a few times in red, white, and blue, so I thought I would memorialize Abraham Lincoln the same way. The board has painted sides in bold red that tie all together into a patriotic statement. I used a free photo of statuary which clarifies planes of light and dark.

Asian Cuisine

The lighting and play of warm and cool colors caught my attention here…so I tried to memorialize this chef in paint.

Among Women

Of David’s royal line, Mary no doubt bore the genetics of her race…perhaps a bit more Mediterranean in her earthly presence.

Peaches

I remember a peach tree that grew outside the back of our house when I was young. My mom made jams and pies with its fragrant fruit, so here is a tribute to such gifts of the earth.

It’s a Bing Thing

Backlit Bings are enticing enough, but the dancing stems completely won me over.
